Yes, but only SCSI ones.

USB requires at least a PCI-based Power Mac or clone, but if you can find
someone who'll trade the USB burner for a SCSI one, you can use the 605.

OWC may or may not still have their Toast 3.5.7 OEM version for $2 or so, but
it's worth checking:

You'll need some flavour of Toast to burn CDs on any Mac that doesn't support
Apple's Disc Burner software.
