Note that with USB 1.x the highest speed you can use with a CDRW is 
about 6-8X.  This is a limitation of USBs 12Mbit/s transfer rate. 
With my Q840AV I was able to handle an 8X drive (1.2MByte or 
9.6Mbit/s).  The simulation software mode showed I had enough 
headroom for at least twice that.
