I am somewhat confused. I have a 32 GB HD ATA type installed in my Q 630. The system software is 8.1. The drive is partitioned into a 3 GB HFS drive to boot up with and a 28 GB HFS+ drive.
I use Ethernet to connect to a 6500 running OS 9.1. The drive partitions both mount on the 6500 desktop but they both show a capacity of 1.99 and that is as high as they go. What gives? Also, can I take the 32 GB drive out of the Q 630 and put it in the 6500? System Profile shows that I have a ATA drive in the 6500 now (4 GB). I am thinking that my IDE drive in the Q630 will work and that would be great to have 32 GB. So, two questions... 1. Why doesn't the 6500 see the full capacity of the 630 drive when using Ethernet to network? 2. Can I move the 32 GB drive from the Q630 to the PPC 6500? Thanks!
