The parameter in AppleShare Filing Protocol for available space is a 
32 bit signed integer.  That limits it to 2Gb.  In some versions of 
AppleShare this is used as a 32 bit UNsigned integer, increasing the 
limit to 4Gb.  At the time the protocol was created 2Gb seemed 
awfully large.
