If I'm not mistaken, the original poster here was looking for an easy cheap way of upgrading his 650 to use with cable or DSL modem, primarily because he didn't want to go through all this ... he thought buying an olde ppc would be more expensive than upgrading the 650. I believe the sense of most of the replies has been that he can pick up an early power mac at a thrift shop for much less than he thought.
