There's a store in Raleigh, NC (it may be a chain, but I'm not sure) called
Connect-It.  They had an adapter that you could plug a ribbon cable into and
have it be a 25-pin external connection on the other side.  I used it with a
clone PC-AT case as a cheap external SCSI box.  The cost of the adapter was
about $15 US.
