I'm not sure of this, but quickly turning your mac on and off again gives your 660 enough power to allow it to boot properly. It is also an indication that your system clock and parameter ram (PRAM) battery is no longer functioning. You most likely need another one. I looked in the faq and spotted the section you need, see sections 2.5.2 and 2.5.3: http://macfaq.org/hardware/logicboard.shtml I haven't had to change these before, but I'm sure the list can point you to perhaps even better resources. These small batteries reside inside your system's motherboard. Fortunately, I remeber the pizza-box styled case is a very easy one to open. But please get some assistance with it if you're not technical! If you are technical, google also came up with a page that looks at the pram in some detail (just scroll down the site); the link on this page shows you actual photos inside a quadra 610/660av (along with a few others ... the 660's ones are almost at the end) http://www.academ.com/info/macintosh/ http://www.academ.com/info/macintosh/early.shtml (the first is the main subject page, the 2nd the photos) the faq probably can offer hope that helps and good luck! :) Craig __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
