I'm not sure of this, but quickly turning your mac on
and off again gives your 660 enough power to allow it
to boot properly. It is also an indication that your
system clock and parameter ram (PRAM) battery is no
longer functioning. You most likely need another one.

I haven't had to change these before, but I'm sure the
list can point you to perhaps even better resources.
These small batteries reside inside your system's
motherboard. Fortunately, I remeber the pizza-box
styled case is a very easy one to open. But please get
some assistance with it if you're not technical!

If you are technical, google also came up with a page
that looks at the pram in some detail (just scroll
down the site); the link on this page shows you actual
photos inside a quadra 610/660av (along with a few
others ... the 660's ones are almost at the end)
