I got RAM from eBay for my salvage-grade Apple Workgroup Server 95. I
also had some 72 pin stuff lying around and was able to fill some
slots with that.
Mine also has broken side latches. I think it's a design feature.
Later Macs don't always have the whomp to start old hard disks I've
noticed. But the AWS has the power to run a 4GB IBM DFHS- series 4GB
drive, which won't do anything in an external enclosure or an AWS
8150. These drives are cheap on eBay, also, I got one for $16.
3.5-inch, half height.
It should also start those real cheap full-height drives.
My question:
I'm looking for a manual, or xeroxes of same, for the AWS 95. Looked
on Apple's kbase site and did not find anything, though there's a PDF
version of the administrator's manual and some other server manuals
as well.
