Hi, I also own a 3x NEC CD-ROM drive in an external SCSI box. I've had this since new and it still goes just as well as when purchased. I went through a series of drivers from 3.x through to 5.x but always reverted to a driver named "NecCDDrvr 4.0.2". This particular driver, as well as run the NEC flawlessly, allowed me to mount and read Windows CD's from the DOS side of my 630 DOS Compatible. None of the later drivers would let me do this. It also works with Mac OS 8.1, without problems. If you want to give this driver a go and you don't have it, I can mail it over. Mike -- Quadlist is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
