This is probably specific to 660av & 840av owners. I've tried searching the archives to be sure someone didn't already ask this but .. what options do we have for making use of the super cool video hardware in the 840av? I've played around with the Apple Video Player .. its fine for grabbing frames and doing quick clips .. but what about editing?
I've heard that for multitrack audio, a piece of software called 'DECK' runs great on the 840av. I'm not looking for something as fancy as premier .. I would just like to sequence and edit video clips I capture on the 840AV .. Any pointers? Quicktime PRO? Also, does the system need VRAM in order to push video out? I've followed instructions to have it display on a TV monitor but the monitor's and sound control panel made no mention of 'using the TV as a display device' .. maybe I need to look for that elsewhere?
