AFAIK there is no (officially) free version of Claris Works. Legally speaking anyway.
Incidentally, just what phenomenal changes are there? Aside from a few minor menu things and extra extensions and such that can be installed in 7.5, there's not a whole lot of difference I"ve ever seen. Oh yeah, hitting the Power button to bring up the Shutdown thing was new. Really that's all I can think of off hand.
