I've got an 840av with a Video Spigot AV. I'm running 8.1, but I have problems reliably getting the video to come out of the Spigot's outputs. It seems to change depending on what app I'm using, then needs a reboot to make it work properly again. Would changing to 7.5.5 help this?
The last time I tried to run an older OS, it complained about my 4 GB SCSI drive, being too large. Is there an easy way around this? What are the best apps for digitizing video? I only have a couple that work with the Spigot. I've been trying to use Premiere 4, but it seems to give me the most grief with Spigot output. Any suggestions? Once I've got the video into the computer, are there any good utilities to convert the video to a newer video codec? Most newer apps (including Quicktime) don't want to read the Spigot's Interlaced jpeg format. Sorry for all of the questions, but I figured since it was already being discussed...
