Where can I get a pin description for the crossover as I have a 610 and an
iMac I need to get to talk to each other and do not have a router yet?

You need a hub, not a router, but try googling for "ethernet crossover pinout"
and I daresay you'll find something in the first 10 hits.

IMMHHTO (in my most humble and honest technical opinion) GET A HUB.......PUNKT SLUß AUS....

Less problems, works great, and is available for more than two computers. Not to mention the possible damage that could be done by using a wrongly configured crossover cable. Sticking with the norm in this case has it's more intelligent side.
