I emailed olde mac milt about selling a heatsink without attatched processor and ended up paying $2+shipping
now that I have it, I must say that its a rather funny shaped heatsink...the whole diamond and not covering the entire processor was something that im not used to and it doesnt seem to have much surface area to dissapate the heat from anyways...anyone have info on why this was teh chosen design for the 040? If I am going to be leaving the q610 on all of the time(I plan to apply thermal grease no matter what), would it be worth it to sand the top of the processor and bottom of the heatsink to make them smoother? Im not going to be overclocking it but since it wont be turning off would this have any noticeable stability benifit? otto -- Quadlist is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
