On a 68k machine I cant say I agree with you exactly but I do see your 
point. Since its a Q700 the move to a different board with the same form 
factor would possibly be a better option. My upgrade, as recommended to 
me by this list was from the Q700 to a C650. The faster 72 pin ram makes 
a big difference as does the newer board design. I'm still to chip it in 
any way but I think it was a better place to start for the $10 and 20 
minutes work
