Hi folks. One of my Centris's (C650) has devoloped a problem with the chooser. Upon selecting the chooser, it opens and instantly tries to connect to the hard drive one of my other machines, no real big problem except the mac its trying to connect to isn't on the network at the moment. Everthing else works fine.
Canceling only reopens the login window again so the only way I can leave the chooser is to force-quit. Ive tried other choosers and looking for a chooser.prefs file and have also deleted the invisable appletalk.pds (most likely the wrong file name) file and zapped the pram and rebuilt the desktop, to be honest I'm out of ideas. After hooking the machine named Q700 up to the network and trying the chooser on C650 still brings the login window up but now I can logon to the drive that the chooser demands. Close the chooser, put away the Q700's disk, restart the C650 and go back to chooser only results in the same problem again. Any suggestions as to what I've over looked or a fix for this little problem short of reinstalling? Mark, many of us use other machines to read this list, drop in and I'll be more than happy to shout you or any other member that beer are whatever poison your into.
