I thought of that, the box is unchecked. Rechecking and unchecking has no effect. I've got a gremlin in the works somewhere. The C650 was used to localtalk the contents of a smaller disk across from the Q700 before installing FreeBSD. That doesn't explain why the the C650's chooser is now requesting the larger drive of the Q700. I tried installing OT and the suite of network stuff that get installed with it in the hope it would overwrite the problem, no luck. Thanks for the replies gents.
