Jim, this is OLD, ca. 1991 - see
http://www.seagate.com/support/disc/specs/scsi/st41600n.html

Should be replaceable with a standard 50-pin SCSI drive. Pay attention to
the jumper settings.

Subject: Big ole weird-looking SCSI HD on 950

Hi, Y'all,

I had planned to upgrade the HD in a 950 to 3 gig. When I opened the
case to look around, I see something I have never seen before. A big
THING incased in a metal holder, case, whatchimacallit. It has Seagate
ST41600N Serial Number SF522971 written on the end that I can see. It
looks like no hard drive I have ever seen. I did a Google on it and the
search came back with references to Sparc and Sun Systems. This was once
a system server for a Josten's Learning Lab.

Does anyone know what I have here? Can I remove it and replace it with a
standard SCSI HD, if I can figure out how?

Jim
