Very litterally... put it in the freezer. I think the contraction caused by the cold can fix come issues of older drives, like maybe the read/write head has crashed onto the disk platter or something.

If you have files you absolutely need, I understand you can often revive a dead hard drive for a small amount of time by freezing it. One way or the other, you need a different, known good hard drive. Good luck!

I have concluded that the big problem here is that
Centris has failed to acknowledge the existence ofthe
hard drive.
Any help would be tremendously appreciated!
