You need a reboot after the VTL software install. That is the only way the VTL fc driver is picked up and replaces the current qla2xxx driver. Please try a restart and then rescan for devices again on the TSM server side the VTL device should appear under /dev/
You can use https://www.quadstor.com/vtlnext/fcrescan script on linux to rescan for FC devices.
