If you have built Quagga before, there is nothing special about
building/installing Quagga 99.24. First run the bootstrap script at the
top level directory, then do the configuration step (enable/disable
daemons based on your needs) and build.
We can help you better if you post specific errors/problems you are facing.

getting, installed in a virtual machine with Ubuntu 14.10 the beginning was
not updated, but still did not work, would have some step by step to the
installation?

Sandro,
The most likely cause for this is that the new install location is
different and you end up with two versions of Quagga installed in two
different locations. Make sure you delete the old binaries. Do "which
zebra", and delete all quagga binaries from that path. Do "which zebra"
again, and you should get the new install location if it happens to be on
your path with the correct version number. Let us know if this is not the
case and we should be able to provide more help.

Jafar
P.S. A question like this should go into the quagga-user not quagga-dev
list.

Dear friends
How do I upgrade quagga 99.23 to 99.24, because when I use the file in
quagga-0.99.24.1.tar.gz site, install it regular but when I check the
version is still of 99.23, one would have any suggestions, a step
step.
Thanks in advance
Sandro
