I am not unfortunately in a position to be able to store these cars,
otherwise I would grab them imediately.
However if there is intrest out there by anyone, I can offer my
services to sort the bodywork out on both these cars.
One suggestion that I do have, is that maybee the owners club should
consider taking ownership of 003 as it is the earliest surviving
Quantum, both 001 and 002 have been destroyed. I think that 003 should
be considered of specific intrest to the history of quantum and our
club.
For those who are not in the know, 003 and another one where the first
demonstrators of these fine cars. I will be taking the second
demonstrator car back into my care fairly soon.
As far as I am aware, there are only 7 surviving examples of the Mk1
hatchback Quantum still in exsistance out of 17 made.
As a Quantum enthusiast, I would like to see 017 finally built as it
seems a shame not to.
Would it be possible for us owners to complete tasks on this car that
we are good at ??? Say for instance that I could sort the body and
then pass it onto someone else for the engine and so on ????
If this could be done in say 5 years ?, then maybee the club could
raffle it off to a very lucky winner towards our clubs 25th birthday.
Anyone up for this ????
