hi, I would recommend farecla (www.farecla.com/ - probably a lot cheaper on eBay) for the dull paint work, it will be a lot cheaper then a new paint job and will improve the gel coats look, how ever it is not a permanent solution. It will lose its effectiveness after a while.
I used to have a lot of leaks (only with the soft top now), I got a few pieces of rubber D sections that I used to waterproof it from www.woolies-trim.co.uk/, or carbuildersolutions.com, either are good. They are pretty much worth what you are willing to pay for them, depends what condition and what has been done to them. About half a year ago I bought a white 2+2 with soft top, hard top, soft top bag, soft top cover and lots of extras, I managed to get it for about £500 (only bout it for the hard top) this was because it had no m.o.t tax and the owner had no idea why it didn’t run, turned out to be a dirty carb. Cleaned this and now its getting an m.o.t As for how they are to drive, it really depends on what you like, I use it as a daily driver and love it to bits, even when your driving at about 20mph it feels like a hundred. The only down side would be road presence, because its so light it tends to get pushed around on the road a bit by the other cars slip streams and the wind. (well mine does) Arnie On Mar 19, 10:57 pm, MartP <[email protected]> wrote: > Dear Anyone > > I bought my son a Quantum a couple of years ago, but he couldn't get > on with it & so I have just "acquired" it from him. > > It is based on a Fiesta mk2, I think. > > Can any of you answer the following questions: > > - It has a hard top but leaks very badly.
