I also had to remount the rear seat catches but installed a square
section steel across from one side of the car to the other under the
leading edge of the parcel shelf. I did this to add a bit of support
to the shelf and the seat latches, however there should be no issues
with increasing the size of the steel to be able to bolt a seat belt
to it but it would mean that the shoulder strap would be very low
unless you added a pedesal to the top of the shelf, then that would be
in the rear view mirror all the time.
Alternatively I suppose you could add a steel across the roof from
side to side and cover this with the headlining and have your top
mount on that.
Personally I would be happy for two proper belts and a lap belt for
the one in the middle for the number of times that you will probably
have the car full of people, and drive with more care when full.
