There has been talk of tapered and straight ball joint pins I am unsure
as to which marque. depending on which type of hubs you have got depends
on what you may need. worth a look. or the hub could be shot due to
wear and gone oval.

deal of play in it when I spotted the inner edge of the tyre being
scrubbed away, I bought and fitted a replacement part NoQSA1471S and
from the start I still had play on the ball joint, the Burtons
calalogue shows this part to be for a mk3 power steered model and
shows a qsa1650s to be for xr2i and RS turbo. Mine is a 1800 L
registered, could anyone enlighten me please, before I go back to
Bullseye.
