Michael, it's on an Irish plate, NDZ 4357. 89 donor, I believe, completed 99. Did ten thousand miles from then till I bought it a couple of years ago, and ten thousand since then.
Jin, I hadn't come across a Fiat engine in one either, though of course the various versions of the twink - it's been around forty years or more! - have popped up in kits from time immemorial. Of course, that's half the challenge... but the Coupe engine is incredibly smooth with its two balance shafts. I run the one in my Coupe up to 7,300 - but then, it only has a hundred and sixty thousand on it; it's barely run in. A car this light deserves a nicely balanced engine. Been looking through the bits I'd need and effectively it's everything forward of the driver's seat; easier to get a donor (the originals are starting to die from rust, finally!) than all the bits individually. Haven't decided yet about the instruments...
