The electric windows on a 2+2 were always added as the Mk2 Fiesta never had them as a factory option. So where the feed was taken from and where it was fused would be up to the person who added the wiring. I'd take a new fused feed from the battery as the electric windows can take 15 to 20 amps, especially when they reach the limits of travel.

Doing the windows and runners is probably the worst job on the 2+2, i spent about 2 months on them on mine during the build.

The only limit stop is the one on the end of the runner but i too found that this was a bit high when fitted onto the 2+2 I drilled a hole through the runner and fitted a screw and spacer to make a new stop. The spacer was drilled with the hole off centre so it could be turned around to fine tune the stop. I drilled an extra hole through the door panel so i could adjust the stop in situ but as this is right at the top of the door it will be visible if you don't have the Quantum capping.

new it wouldn't be long till I started again

here goes
ive been trying to get the electric windows to spring into life and
thought it wouldn't be just a simple case of connecting the plug up
correctly and of we go.... oh no

in the absence of a live feed (if anybody knows where the fused link
for the windows should be please please let me know) I temporarily
wired it to the cig lighter just to get things moving, and move they
did...... all of 1/2" then jammed dead, fast forwards a full day
chopping and modifying all the slides and guides iv got satisfactory
operation (only the drivers side though) but the problem is it rises
too far, probably 4-5mm and is pushing up the front quarter glass
surround which I don't like the look of, so

is there a way to limit the travel on the glass? (please don't say I
have to unbolt the whole slide and bolt on 5mm further down as that
looks like it could be a pain) is there a simpler way other than
having to have finger reflexes as quick as John Wayne to flick the
switch off just as it reaches the top?

as always all answers will be very appreciated

cheers folks
