I am not surprised at the car not being the same both sides as some older
classics are not either.
You can influence where your car sits merely by doing up the bolts when the
car is on axle stands instead of being loaded on its wheels, which would be
correct.
I try and do up suspension bolts with the car sitting on its wheels.
I once had an Autotune Gemini and that was very lopsided.
However I have been impressed by the quality of the Quantum.
Cheers Jon

Subject: [Quantum Owners] odd front wheel and new roof
hi all
been busy recently doing odd jobs ill post details later
2 questions though
firstly which is the best roof to get?
the Quantum and KAP hood are the same price but which is best for
fit / finish and watertightness?
been saving my pennies so will get one in the next few weeks
secondly and quite puzzlingly my passenger front wheel sticks out 5mm
further to the side than the drivers, not really noticeable at first
but now I've seen it it bugs me
I've swapped the wheels over side to side and all is the same so its
not the wheels and nothing looks obviously out of place, taking a
crude series of measurements i think (hope) the subframe has not moved
relative to the bulkhead as it measures up straight (though difficult
to measure accurately)
taking a crude measurement of the suspension, namely the bottom arms
from the inner pivot to the brake disc it appears that that may be the
culprit though i cant be 100% sure as its so tricky to measure
accurately
if this is the case my theory is either the wishbone and / or
balljoint has been replaced on one side with a copy part or second
hand part that does not measure up well? or maybe bent
other than that im unsure, are the wishbones meant to be the same
length both sides? you'd think so but they are different part number
any one have any other ideas?
at worst ill maybe skim 5mm off the wheel or hub but would like to get
to the bottom of this
any help very much appreciated and will be repaid with jaffa cakes :)
