I have the RS Turbo in mine and it does the same but my intercoolers water
pump needs replacing so I thought it was pinking due to exccesive intake
temp.
I will worry if its still doing it after replacing.
Maybe you have a problem with the mixture and its too lean.

So, tank 12mm -> bend 12mm -> filter 12mm -> pump ->8mm -> fuel rail.

A pattern one probably doesn't so one would be a very good idea.
But you need a low pressure filter not a high pressure one.
