The gearbox will bolt straight on with the CVH clutch and release bearing.
Some of the 950's and 1.1's had smaller diameter shafts on the inner
joints where they go into the diff.
The later cars they standardised on the bigger joints.
You will also find the hub end of the driveshaft is smaller on the
smaller engined cars so you could end up needing to change the front
hubs and carriers as well.
It may be worth sticking with your existing shafts, my s/h 1.6 CVH
quantum saloon came with all 1.1 suspension fitted and had done many
1000 miles as a Quantum.
To uprate the brakes to vented discs you will need to change the
calipers as well.

the engine has gone pop in the Quantum so now the time is to swap
car has a 1.1 at the mo and i want to put in as 1.6 cvh.
thing is I'm unsure of exactly what was used to build the car and what
i need to swap.
as it stands the car has a 5 speed box and rear anti roll bar (i don't
know what difference that makes to spec though) it has solid discs at
the front . the drive shafts are not of the type with 6 bolts at the
inboard end so i assume they are the type that click in, if I'm
correct its only the 1.3 - 1.4 that have the bolt on type so i may be
ok?
I'm aware i need to change the front right tie bar + mount but id like
to keep the gearbox as its sweet so my questions i need to know are...
1. will the cvh bolt up to the ohv gearbox? I'm assuming it may be the
same box as they are both 5 speed?
2. ill change the clutch anyway as a matter of course, will any fit or
is there a preference?
3. can i re-use the driveshafts? bearing in mind i also want to re-use
the hubs?
i understand ill also have to faff about with the rad / exhaust etc
but can you think of anything else I'm likely to need to alter to fit
the 1.6 cvh to the car as is? I'm not after an xr2 replica but just to
get the xr2 engine running in the car
i really would appreciate it if you can take the time to answer these
questions for me
much appreciated and thankyou
