Also remember that there are different diff ratios that will make a BIG 
difference to the acceleration and top speed. There was a good article in Kit 
Car magazine recently which listed all the available units and ratios.

The scorpio diff could well be the same as the Xtreme one. There are two main 
sizes of diff fitted to fords, 7 inch and 7.5 inch.

Xtremes take the 7 inch as standard. The size is the measurement across the top 
mount.

The bolt on shafts can only be used if you have the disk brake rear uprights, 
as these are different from the drum brake uprights.

Generally, you can have either:
Disk brakes, lobro jointed (bolt on) shafts and a bolt on diff.
  or
Drum brakes, tripode jointed (push in) shafts and a push in diff.

Having done a bit of work last winter to fit a LSD with bolt on shafts to a car 
with drum brakes, I can say that the route I took is probably not the easiest...
