Changed the filler hose today, and oddly it seems completely fine on
the inside of the bore, and all the problems seem to be on the
outside.  Perhaps it's fuel resistant after all, but not road salt
resistant!  I could do with knowing why it's happened so I can be sure
the new hose won't go the same way, but I guess only time will tell.
