I used some 'fir trees' sourced from Bresco - they are longer than the
standard ones and fit the retainers on the door card.
I also fitted some more of the metal retainers ( and thus more fir trees) to
the door cards using epoxy glue.

The car is through the mot with not much trouble, (1800 non turbo
diesel), fitted some nice seats from a low mileage but rotten mk2
ghia, was wondering about a better method for fixing the door cards
and rear trims. The ones I have are fixed with self tappers and
bevelled washers and really this doesn't look so nice as you can see
the screw heads. Any better ideas as the new panels I have from the
ghia are quite smart.
Am I right in thinking the xr2 roof clock does not fit the Quantum?
