I don't think the cradle is different between the models.
But, i'd think enough damage to cause your problem would be quite obvious.
I worked on a H4 with this problem and found it had the wrong wishbones
fitted, i've pictures somewhere.
I think the difference was power steering or non-power steering wishbones.
