I've checked, i've got 2 bolts in that sort of locations on each side of the
hood.
But no metal pieces, i'm guessing they are just there to help hold the hood
material in place.

My hood was factory fitted by Stourbridge Quantum, one of the few bits
of
the build i didn't do as i wasn't convinced i'd get it right.
I bought the hard top as well and lined all the glass up to that during

build.
