If the "lift the dot" fixings are the ones i think they are, they are
taller than the press stud fittings used on the 2+2
normally.
My hard top normally just sat on top of the fixed half of the press stud
and was secured with some nuts and bolts.
The Mk1 hard top had some weird arrangement with furniture blocks and
drawing board clips but i didn't use that.
