Strictly, none of the above unless you have type-approved your quantum with automatic level sensing and aim adjustment and headlight washers.
If you must, the 4300 will provide the perceived brightest light, in spite of the boy-racer 'blue blue blue' look and will be least likely to attract the attention of the boys in blue. Also, stick to using them behind projector lights, on the dipped beams only; they must not turn off the dips when the mains come on. Stick to 35W types, too, and you shouldn't have a problem with the existing wiring and heat dissipation though you will need to increase the fuses to cope with the start-up pulse (which really means you should uprate the cable too, since that's what the fuse is there to protect and if the fuse is rated higher than the cable there is no protection. At present, the vast majority of xenon lights - basically, every aftermarket installation - are constructions and use offences. As of, um, April this year I think it will also be an MOT offence/fail though the MOT regulations merely say that the tilt mechanism and washers must work if installed. Bit of a grey area there... http://www.dft.gov.uk/vosa/repository/MOT%20Inspection%20Manual.pdf section 1.7 Neil On Dec 26, 11:37 am, forestboy <[email protected]> wrote: > hi firstly a merry xmas and a happy new year to you all, just a quick > question has anyone ever fitted or thought about fitting xeron > headlamps to their quantums as i would like to fit some to my H4.
