If you don't mind the looks then just cut the pipes where they come out
of the fittings and weld round the top to blank them off.
The ECU won't care as long as you leave the solenoid connected.
It won't care if it's unplugged either but you will have a fault code
reported.

*if* you can get the pipes out of the manifold then yes you should be
able to remove them. Blanking plugs exist off the shelf. I don't know
if the standard ecu will either notice or care. I've a feeling I had
no issue when I briefly used the ford ecu.

another pump mounted high at the front of the engine, power
steering perhaps, and 6 pulleys for the belt to run
around, also at the rear is a unit that is connected to each

and box and removing the "extras" hopefully over the weekend.
