As a relatively recent comer to the Quantum fold via the purchase of
an H4 last year, I'm looking to make contact with other owners of H4s
within 40 or 50 miles of St. Albans in order to compare notes and
tips.

In particular, I'm keen to get sage counsel on hints and tweaks to
make it watertight (it currently being one of the faster mobile foot
spas in Hertfordshire) and how to re-hang the engine, the original
1.6i having been swapped for a 1.6 Zetec unit which was apparently
fitted with a hammer by a monkey in boxing gloves with a bag on his
head. It was only after a few miserable months of wondering what the
awful noise was when I took left-hand corners at anything above
driving-on-ice speed that I realised the off-side front engine
mounting had been omitted and the whole engine fitted slightly skewed.

I am now on a mission t attempt to fall back in love with the notion
of being a Quantum owner, something I feel should be possible!

All correspondence I've seen on the QOC site (I'm a member) and
elsewhere suggests that owners are a cheery bunch with a never-say-die
attitude and a sunny disposition, so I am hopeful of becoming
enlightened and delighted in the near future. My language whilst
driving may improve, too.

Kind regards,

SW.
