We have a Dax Rush with a 4.6L Rover V8 on carbs...weight is around 750kg so probably similar to an Xtreme and we get 18 to 20mpg....at the end of the day whilst it might be much lighter, you just can't help but go heavy on the loud pedal....if you're even thinking about mpg, probably best to forget a big V8...
