Hi folks, I had an MGBGT V8 to which I fitted the 10.5 pistons and had that awful siamesed inlet manifold and on a trip to Wales from Hampshire we got 30 mpg out of it, normally however it was about 25 mpg. Stag did about 26 mpg mixed driving. As for the pinto err not my bag. My CVH turbo 2+2 only gets 25 mpg mixed but have managed 31 mpg on a cruise to Bournemouth. My wife had a Mondeo with the duratec 2 litre and I got 45 mpg on a trip to Torquay from Hants and this would be an engine I would like cos it went like the clappers too.
