Maybe the first thing to bear in mind is that the suspension of the Fiesta
was designed with a view to the car being used with 4 adults on board
weighing around about 160 lbs with a further 120 lbs in the boot by way of
luggage plus further weight on a roof rack. Then take into account that the
body
of the Fiesta might be 200 lbs heavier than the 2+2 If you carried a
similar weight in the 2+2 the suspension would doubtless joggle less.

'Front wheel drive cars should understeer' a reasonable assumption and
the standard version of the Fiesta probably would but, before you set about
changing things it might be as well to check through any other changes you
might have made to the car, as compared with the Fiesta on which it was based
and also to recall whether there was anything unusual about the Goodwood
incident.

Did the car oversteer because of it's set up or was there any other
input, heavy braking, or acceleration which might have provoked the oversteer.

Having done this you may then have to decide for yourself, or factors like
tyre pressure that might have altered the cars response whether you want a
car which is ideal for track days but a pain for ordinary motoring or a car
which handles well and rides well on ordinary roads but needs a bit more
care and forethought when being driven on a track.

What you decide to do,or change, is, of course, entirely up to you but
remember that the development programme that lead to the base model being the
way it was was the result of many thousands of hours testing and may well
have involved comparison of hundreds of shock absorbers, to name but one
component.
