Here’s another one then.............. Are all MK2 Fiesta servos the same? I know there are 2 types of master cylinder but do they still bolt onto the same servo?

The first problem i had was that it’s diameter means that it was too big to fit with the brackets in the existing position. So i had to move the brackets and shorten the transfer bar. You need to use the matching Mk3 master cylinder so pick one with a similar bore to your Mk2 one, if it was XR2 you will want one from a XR2i or RS1800. Don’t get one from a car with ABS as it will only have 2 outlets. The outlets on the Mk3 cylinder are in a different place so you may need to extend the existing brake pipe, they also use 2 sizes of fitting (so you can’t accidentally mix the diagonal split). If the new Mk3 master cylinder has the rear pressure limiting valves screwed into 2 outlets then remove those as they are near the rear axle on the Quantum. And, you may find that if you have a late CVH engine with the distributor with the mechanical advance that the new master cylinder will hit it. Quite a few people have been using the Mondeo one (which has a shorter master cylinder) but the procedure is similar.
