I think i patched mine to a ford switch certainly one that looked like it.
The MR2 mirrors did they come from an import model? (fold in mirrors :-)
) or uk spec? (believe not)
took me a while to work out that they reverse the polarity to reverse
the action.
If you have a 12v DC power adaptor to hand you can make a start by
applying power to the mirror cables ( not the brain! )
and observe the action. reverse the wires and they will reverse the
action. step one complete. Will try to hunt out the info again. :-)

Mounting it i worked up inside the door, this is very tight! or
cut an access on the inside of the door for an easier fit. then
bung or cover the hole.
I have the wiring diagram somewhere. But you do NEED the brain
for the electrics.
