I have a K+N filter in the original filter box, a bit of flexible metal hose going from the inlet valve down to the exhaust heat shield and then a big silicone hose running from the end of the air intake down into the nose cone. Originally Ford had their own hose for that but I couldn’t find one anywhere so I had a silicone one made.

I suppose if carb icing were to become an issue I could run a hot air feed to the filter... or just sit idling for a while and let the heat soak do the work.
