A couple of years ago there was quite a lot of talk about how cheap Quantum
insurance is for young drivers and I suggested we keep quiet about it as we
should not encourage young drivers to Quantums because the insurance will get
higher.
Could this have been a reason for higher insurance costs?

FJ no longer seem to want Quantum owners business, there was a big
discussion on here last year about the price increases.
I changed to Adrian Flux at a much better price.
Several other companies were recommend at the time.

Has anyone had a quote from FJ of late under the Owners Club Insurance
Scheme?
I have just been quoted £293.62 for the 25+ age group. This seems
somewhat steep c.f. last years agreed price which from what is currently on the
QOC web page should have been £205. As they charged me ~£270 last year before
the QOC prices had been announced, this time I want to know what the 2013
agreed price for 25+ should be so that I may do battle with certain knowledge
of what the QOC price should be. If £293.62 is the agreed sum then this could
be the end of my affair with the H4 as the small mileage I have done in it for
the last few years makes the insurance nigh on £1/mile. I could most likely
insure a BMW Z series for less than that!
It appears that the QOC insurance prices on the web were last updated on
29-4-2012 so could reasonably be out of date w.r.t. the recent hike in
insurance costs.
It is of note that I do not pay anything like this for my Beauford with
FJ, which is currently worth probably 10x more than the H4, and there is not
even any special club discount on offer for the Beauford club.
