A tip for getting the correct pressures no matter what size tyres or weight of car. Set your pressures to what you think is correct. Take the car for a brisk run and recheck the pressures. If they have gone up by more than 2 psi, they are too soft. If they haven't gone up at all, they are too hard. Continue to adjust pressures and do a brisk run until the pressures increase by 2 psi (let them cool down between runs). Once you get the 2 psi increase, you have optimum pressures.

Thanks folks but is 26 front 23 rear for the heavier coupe or the 2+2? I
would expect slighty less for the greater area of tyre using the 195x50x15
so 26f 22r would seem about right.
Normally with a production car of over a ton the handling and roadholding
are not so critical, however I have found my 2+2 quite sensitive to spring
rates and shocker settings as the turbo lump heightens any fault and seems
to magnify it so the next track day I am going to mess with pressures a
little.
My track Dolomite sprint is also sensitive to tyre pressures and you can
induce over or understeer just on tyre pressure, and that car is tuned to
approx 170 bhp.
Also years ago I built an Autotune Gemini and the designer bent my ear for
having too high tyre pressures at 26f and 30r.
cheers Jon

According to the build manual it's 26F and 23R, unless heavily laden which
is then 26R.
That's on 185/55x14s (standard Fiesta size). As with all these thing it also
depends on the accuracy/repeatabilty of the gauge.
I'd suggest a garage gauge is an absolute nono as regards accuracy. The best
proceedure (in the absence of a very expensive callibrated gauge) is to
always use the same one, and check the tyre wear regularly (certainly at
first). Too low = wear on outsides of tyres, Too high = wear to centre of
tread. Once satisfied, you can pretty much be sure is ok using THAT GAUGE.
Apologies for the 'lesson' if you already know the above.

Whilst on a Tyre Pressure topic,

Does anyone know what the Pressure for the Saloon should be, I run
195/50/15
I've always used 30psi front and 28psi rear
