I have acquired a 1988 donor(approx) 2+2 which I have converted to run on LiPO4 battery power, but my latest stumbling block is getting the headlight lids to work consistently. They drop down when the light is on main beam, but do not move when the dipped lights are on. I have tested and there is power to the nearside battery block terminal when both main and dipped lights are on, but the stepper motor only runs with the full beam. There seem to be 2 relays, one in the 'manual suggested position' on the steel frame by the nearside suspension unit, the other attached to the nearside headlight housing.
