Dear All,

Just had one of the rear axle supports for the rear brake hose rust through and
it now needs replacing. It would be good to not have to remove the rear axle
to repair it.

I wondered what the thickness of metal of the rear axle is for welding
purposes. Is it thin enough to use a medium size MIG welder on successfully
rather than an arc welder? Anyone know?

I am thinking about getting a new MIG welder as this is the second small
welding job recently and I have a few projects in mind for the year ahead.

Thanks

Derek
