In both cases the problem suddenly appeared, the car would start, the Escort with twin choke Weber, was OK if only the throttle was not opened far, when it cut out it would not restart for about 10 mins & if driven slowly would be OK. The diesel in the 2+2 would misfire at low revs, when driven over 30 MPH would cut out, but start again. In both cases removal of the filter in the tank & fitting an inline one cured the problem, the 2+2 has done about 25,000 miles since changing the setup. On my Rickman I have removed the filter & fitted an inline one, just as a preventative measure. John
